Quoting Guidelines

For additional information, see Terms of Use.

You may quote excerpts (see fair use) from articles without our permission, as long as you provide a link back to the post or page it came from, make it clear it’s not your work, and don’t quote it for a commercial purpose. “Commercial purpose” means selling a product which contains snippets from our copyrighted material. You may post quotes on sites that are run for profit, as long as you are not in some way selling our content.

Any site reposting an article in its entirety, with or without credit, will be sent a Cease & Desist order, reported to Google as a spam site and then some. We have a number of methods for dealing with you. Find out what they are at your peril.

Do not publish quotes from this site in a book, movie, video game, etc. unless you have obtained permission first. Even with permission, you may not twist what authors on this site have posted to make it sound like they’ve said something else.

You’re likely to get permission if you follow these guidelines, particularly if you quote us in such a way that others might find the site. So please, just ask.
