Shoutout to WoC and/or queer women to write column
We here at THL want to talk more about women of color and queer women. These are perspectives which have, unfortunately, been left out because most of the authors are white, heterosexual women. We can talk about the problems, but we don’t know how it feels. And without including those viewpoints, our analysis of women in the media just isn’t complete.
So we are looking for women bloggers who can give these perspectives to post on this site. I’m thinking a column rather than articles on specific works might be best, because columns and series seem to attract more visitors, comments and links-in than regular articles. And hence, greater visibility. But regular articles would be welcome, too.
