Note: No offense intended. I can’t help what I dream, and for some reason this makes a bit of sense to me.
I had a dream last night in which TPTB played Pontius Pilate, Sam played Jesus and Vala played Barabas, only TPTB were more gleeful about the whole affair. It must be my upbringing as a Catholic – I’m having flashbacks to Easter services…
Vala’s list of crimes: stole a ship and left everyone to die; made off with Daniel and proceeded to torture him; came back and enslaved Daniel by means of those stupid bracelets; wanted to steal some more (prevented only by the folks at the SGC, who she thought she could swindle); slept with a dude so she could steal from him, too; stole some more; lied continously; as she departed, she stole yet again, oh, and she held the entire population of a planet (at least the portion she could get her hands on) as her slaves by pretending she was still a Goa’uld. (There’s probably lots more.)
Sam’s list of crimes: bad decision making (no one’s ever been arrested for that); reduction to ‘the girl’ character, which she claimed she didn’t want (technically, not even her fault; also, no one’s ever been arrested for it); uhmmmmmm. Yeah. I can’t think of any truly criminal things Sam has done, unless you count simply not exemplifying what people want to see or sending (rather unwittingly) unwanted messages through her actions. (PS – Vala does this, too.)
TPTB: Hey, folks, which do you want to keep and which do you want me to kill? The one who’s done nothing but offend your sensibilities or the one who’s actually a criminal? Keep in mind that the one who’s done nothing wrong is boring and the other is entertaining as all get out. Not that we want to influence you at all. *wink, wink*
Crowd: Vala, Vala, Vala! Give us Vala!
And here’s where I go lock my doors and close the shutters; I don’t want Vala sneaking into my house, thanks, certainly not because of a bad (IMO) decision made by others. 😉
